Basında ODTÜ
ODTÜ bünyesinde öğretime aktif olarak devam eden beş enstitüde, sayısı 7.000'i aşkın lisansüstü öğrencinin üstün başarılarını ödüllendirmek ve akademik çalışmalarını desteklemek amacıyla verilen Lisansüstü Tez ve Ders Performans Ödüllerinin sahipleri belli oldu. Ödül töreni, 29 Eylül 2021 Çarşamba günü, saat 13.30'da çevrim içi olarak düzenlenecek.
Öğrencilerin 2019-2020 akademik yılındaki performansına dayanarak verilen Tez Ödülleri ile, lisansüstü öğrencilerin tez çalışmaları kapsamında bilim kültürü, kuram ve uygulama alanlarına katkı sağlayacak nitelikli çalışmalar yürütülmesini teşvik ederek, Türkiye’nin kaliteli araştırma gücünün ODTÜ öncülüğünde arttırılması hedefleniyor. Ders Performans Ödülü ile, öğrencilerin öğrenim sürecini üstün başarı ile tamamlamaları ve derslerdeki başarı düzeylerini arttırmaları yönünde teşvik etmeyi amaçlıyor. Lisansüstü Yayın Ödülü ise; lisansüstü öğrenimleri sırasında belirli kriterleri sağlayarak uluslararası dergilerde yayın yapmış öğrencileri desteklemek amacıyla, öğrencilerin başvuruları sonrasında veriliyor.
2019-2020 Akademik Yılı’ndaki performanslarına
dayanarak verilen ödüllerde 22’si doktora, 9’u yüksek lisans tezi olmak üzere
31 öğrenci Tez Ödülü almaya; 30’u doktora, 76’sı yüksek lisans öğrencisi olmak

ODTÜ’de Lisansüstü Öğrenim
ODTÜ’de lisansüstü öğretim yapılan beş enstitüden ilki olan Deniz Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 1975 yılında kuruldu. Daha sonra sırasıyla, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Sosyal Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Enformatik Enstitüsü ve Uygulamalı Matematik Enstitüsü lisansüstü eğitim vermeye ve akademik araştırmalar yapmaya başladı.
2021 yılı Eylül ayı itibariyle ODTÜ’de, 99’u yüksek lisans ve 67’si doktora olmak üzere toplam 166 lisansüstü program yer alıyor. ODTÜ’deki lisansüstü programlardan şimdiye kadar 26.000’in üzerinde Yüksek Lisans, 7.000’in üzerinde Doktora olmak üzere 33.000’in üzerinde lisansüstü öğrenci mezun oldu. Bu programlarda halen 7.000’i aşkın lisansüstü öğrenci öğrenime devam ederken, yaklaşık 900 lisansüstü öğrenci ise 2021 yılında mezun oldu.
The Graduate Thesis and Course Performance Awards, aiming to reward the outstanding achievements of more than 7,000 graduate students, and to support their academic motivation at METU's five institutes actively continuing their education life within the university, were presented. The award ceremony is to be held online on September 29, 2021, at 13.30.
The Thesis Awards, which are given based on the performance of the students in the 2019-2020 academic year, aim to encourage the graduate students to carry out qualified studies that will contribute to science culture, theory and application fields within the scope of their thesis studies, and thus increase the quality and strength of research in Turkey under the leadership of METU. Course Performance Awards aim to encourage the students to complete their education period with outstanding success and to increase their success level in the classes. The Graduate Publication Award, on the other hand, is given after the applications of the students to support the students who have published in international journals by meeting certain criteria during their graduate education.
Based on the academic performances in the 2019-2020 academic year, a total of 31 students, 22 of whom with their Ph.D. dissertation, 9 of them with their master's thesis, received the Thesis Award. And a total of 106 students, 30 of them Ph.D. and 76 of them master's students, became entitled to receive the Course Performance Award. About Graduate Education at METU
The Graduate School of Marine Sciences, the first of the five graduate schools at METU, was founded in 1975. Later, the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Graduate School of Social Sciences, the Graduate School of Informatics and the Graduate School of Applied Mathematics began to provide graduate education and conduct academic research, respectively.
As of September 2021, a total of 176 graduate programs, 105 of which are master's programs and 71 of which are Ph.D. programs, are being carried out by 77 departments in METU's graduate schools. Since the day METU graduate programs were established, they have had more than 33 thousand alumni, including over 26 thousand postgraduates and over seven thousand Ph.D. graduates. Currently, more than seven thousand graduate students continue their education in these programs, and approximately 900 graduate students were graduated in 2021.
